“The good life is a process, not a state of being.
It is a direction, not a destination.”

About

About Me

My name is Ayca Atakay. I am a Clinical Psychologist.

I offer individual counseling and mainly use EMDR Therapy, Schema Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, The Short Focused Brief Therapy and Existential Therapy approaches in therapies I perform with adolescents and adults. I work in Turkish and English.

I would describe myself as a lover of art, food and nature. In each of them I am energised with passion and my emotions dance in harmony. And my greatest passion is olive oil... Yes, olive oil:)

Olive is considered the first of all trees. I grew up with olives and olive oil and it is the most important source that connects me to the earth. So that's a bit of information about me.

If you are interested in speaking about your cause and want to explore with me how you can understand each other better and promote your well-being, please do not hesitate to contact me.

All my best,
Ayca Atakay

Expat Therapy

With migration, individuals may have difficult times due to stressful life events, important social changes and the influence of the culture that the person has adopted.

Adolescent Therapy

Adolescence is defined as the period of life from 12 to 20 years of age. During this time, a young person experiences transformations on several levels (physical, emotional, psychological).
